New partner 'On Course' for success

May 9, 2017

We are delighted to announce the On Course Foundation as our latest partner and support its mission 'to build confidence in our wounded, injured and sick (WIS) Service personnel and veterans through golf skills and employment events, and set them on the path to meaningful full-time employment opportunities in the golf industry'.

The On Course Foundation has become the latest partner of The Grand Day Out and will join forces in St Andrews in June.

The partnership is an obvious one as the On Course Foundation also supports the recovery of injured Service personnel and veterans through golf. Their mission - 'to build confidence in our wounded, injured and sick (WIS) Service personnel and veterans through golf skills and employment events, and set them on the path to meaningful full-time employment opportunities in the golf industry' - fits hand in glove with the GDO and we weclome them on board.

An On Course Foundation Member told us: "To me, OCF is so much more than just a great way to learn and improve my golf. The Foundation is fantastic in bringing together guys that might not have had the opportunity to play such a sport before, and show them not only how inclusive it is, but how it helps build confidence. It’s through this confidence that I have been able to secure employment with their help. Now the sport that I love is helping me every day in rehabilitation, something I had never even considered before."
